We’re delighted to announce that 15th Dover Scout Group has been awarded a funded defibrillator package by the British Heart Foundation!
Following a successful application, we have been awarded a complete defibrillator package (reference: AED_CP-006582) which will include:
- A defibrillator, complete with pads and rescue kit
- A heated, external non-lockable cabinet for outdoor installation
- Resources for promoting CPR training through the BHF’s free RevivR programme
The defibrillator will be installed externally at Jack Hewitt Hall, Sheridan Road, Dover, CT16 2BZ, making it publicly accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Once installed, it will be registered on The Circuit – the National Defibrillator Network – so that ambulance services are aware of its location.
We expect delivery and installation within the next few weeks. This is a fantastic resource not just for our Scout Group, but for the whole local community.
As part of our commitment to the award, our leaders will also be completing CPR training using the BHF’s free RevivR online tool. We’d encourage everyone in our community to give it a try – it only takes 15 minutes and could help you save a life.
A huge thank you to the British Heart Foundation for supporting our group with this life-saving equipment.
