Being a Scout<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Scouts is for young people aged 10\u00bd\u201314. It’s a time of big adventures, real challenges, and building the skills that last a lifetime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a Scout, you’ll go on expeditions, learn survival skills, take on community projects, and challenge yourself in ways you never expected. Scouting at this age is about pushing boundaries, making great friends, and discovering what you’re truly capable of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scouts take on a huge range of activities \u2013 from camping and hiking to coding, cooking, and community action. Every meeting brings something new, and every term is packed with adventures both locally and further afield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scout Awards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Scouts work through a wide range of badges and challenges. The top award for Scouts is the Chief Scout’s Gold Award<\/strong> \u2013 one of the most prestigious youth awards in the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving Up to Explorers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When Scouts reach 14, they move up to Explorers<\/strong> \u2013 where independence, leadership, and bigger adventures await.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uniform and Badge Placement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Scouts wear a teal green uniform. You don’t need a uniform to join \u2013 once you’ve settled in, you’ll start earning badges to wear with pride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
