{"id":63,"date":"2026-03-09T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-03-09T10:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/15thdoverscouts.org.uk\/index.php\/2026\/03\/09\/gift-aid-status\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T17:02:39","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T17:02:39","slug":"gift-aid-status","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/15thdoverscouts.org.uk\/index.php\/2026\/03\/09\/gift-aid-status\/","title":{"rendered":"Great News: 15th Dover Scouts Now Has Gift Aid Status!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"is-style-lead\">We are thrilled to announce that 15th Dover Scout Group has been awarded <strong>Gift Aid status<\/strong> by HMRC!<\/p><p>Gift Aid is a government scheme that allows registered charities and community groups to claim an extra <strong>25p for every \u00a31 donated<\/strong> by UK taxpayers \u2013 at no extra cost to the donor.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What this means for our families<\/h3><p>We will shortly be asking all parents and guardians to complete a simple <strong>Gift Aid declaration form<\/strong>. By signing up, you allow us to claim Gift Aid on the membership fees and any donations you make to the group. This can make a significant difference to our finances and help us fund more activities, equipment, and adventures for your children.<\/p><p>To be eligible, you must:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Be a UK taxpayer<\/li><li>Pay at least as much Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in the year as the amount we claim in Gift Aid<\/li><\/ul><p>Look out for our Gift Aid declaration forms coming soon.
