{"id":64,"date":"2026-03-09T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-03-09T09:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/15thdoverscouts.org.uk\/index.php\/2026\/03\/09\/bhf-defibrillator-award\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T09:00:00","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T09:00:00","slug":"bhf-defibrillator-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/15thdoverscouts.org.uk\/index.php\/2026\/03\/09\/bhf-defibrillator-award\/","title":{"rendered":"15th Dover Scouts Awarded Defibrillator by British Heart Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"is-style-lead\">We&#8217;re delighted to announce that 15th Dover Scout Group has been awarded a funded defibrillator package by the <strong>British Heart Foundation<\/strong>!<\/p><p>Following a successful application, we have been awarded a complete defibrillator package (reference: AED_CP-006582) which will include:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A defibrillator, complete with pads and rescue kit<\/li><li>A heated, external non-lockable cabinet for outdoor installation<\/li><li>Resources for promoting CPR training through the BHF&#8217;s free <strong>RevivR<\/strong> programme<\/li><\/ul><p>The defibrillator will be installed externally at Jack Hewitt Hall, Sheridan Road, Dover, CT16 2BZ, making it <strong>publicly accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week<\/strong>. Once installed, it will be registered on <strong>The Circuit<\/strong> \u2013 the National Defibrillator Network \u2013 so that ambulance services are aware of its location.<\/p><p>We expect delivery and installation within the next few weeks. This is a fantastic resource not just for our Scout Group, but for the whole local community.<\/p><p>As part of our commitment to the award, our leaders will also be completing CPR training using the BHF&#8217;s free <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bhf.org.uk\/how-you-can-help\/how-to-save-a-life\/defibrillators\/revivr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RevivR online tool<\/a>.
